BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia for Non-Native Speakers) program is designed by language center of UNJ (LCU) to meet your need as a non-native speaker by providing a high quality program, staffed by experienced BIPA teachers. This program facilitates you to develop your communication skills in formal Indonesia language, both written and spoken, as well as understanding the Indonesian culture.

Furthermore, the program is in compliance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 27 of 2017. BIPA is one of language course programs aiming to promote bahasa Indonesia to be an international language as well as to meet the needs of foreign workers or students for learning bahasa Indonesia.

Indonesian Culture through BIPA

Language and Culture Program

BIPA Regular Program

LCU offers 3 course levels (basic, intermediate, and advanced) of 250-lesson hours regular program which is allocated in a 200-hours tutorial and 50-hours individual task. The total lesson hours per level are 250 lesson hours with focuses on four language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing), and Grammar as well as Indonesian social cultural. It takes students 4 months of completion with 50 meetings for each course level.

Basic Level (BIPA 1 & BIPA 2) - 250 lesson Hours

Students will learn basic daily conversation enhanced with cultural awareness to improve communication skills in various contexts. At the end of this program, students will have basic competence to communicate in Indonesian language.
CEFR Standard: A1 & A2.

Intermediate Level (BIPA 3 & BIPA 4) - 250 Lesson hours

Students can improve their Indonesian language competence by means of discussion, oral presentation, produce texts, and describing something (experience, event, and hope).
CEFR Standard: B1 & B2

Advanced Level (BIPA 5 & BIPA 6) - 250 Lesson hours

Students be involved in discussion and wring essay related to education, society and culture, economics, politics, and current issues in Indonesian or world. At the end of this program, students are able to write reports.

*The following date is only applied to students who do not need process their E-ITAS and E-ITK, sponsored by Language Center of UNJ (LCU).
**The placement test is eligible for students who has mastered Indonesian language basic skill. The students who will take the test must register and pay for the test fee.

Session I : 09.30 - 11.00 (Western Indonesian Time Zone, Jakarta)
Session II : 11.30 - 13.00 (Western Indonseian Time zone, Jakarta)

BIPA Private Program

This program is designed for you who want to learn BIPA to meet exclusively the needs of participants with flexible hours and preferred location. By choosing this program, we can help you accomplish your personal goals. This program can run in either offline or online. You must take a minimum of 30 lesson hours.

BIPA Customized Program

This program is specifically designed for small group to address the needs  by a company. This program also is designed to meet exclusively the needs of participants with flexible hours. This program can run in either offline or online.
